This is a five-part application, asking you to input information and answer some questions in detail. In general, the more explanation and detail you can give, the better.

You WILL be able to save your progress as you complete your application, as long as you make a JotForm account. Otherwise, we strongly encourage you to save your answers to Section 2 “Narrative,” in a Word doc. Then, copy and paste your answers to this form when you are ready to submit your application.

You will receive a confirmation page. If you don’t, please contact grants@bavariacsc.com. After receipt of your application, you will receive an email from grants@bavariacsc.com confirming that we have your application.

Guidelines, Rules, and Reminders

• Avoid the use of acronyms throughout the application; please spell out all words including the organization names.
• All applications must have two people listed: the person requesting the grant and the supervisor/leader or commander.
• Grant requests must be made in US dollars. Requests made in Euro will be converted to US dollars using the app XE Currency at the time of the committee meeting, and that dollar amount will be used.
• Be timely and detailed with your application. Primary consideration will be given to on-time applications that include cost information associated with the funding request, i.e. vendor quotes, invoice information, number of persons benefiting, price per person/item, etc. Incomplete applications, unsubstantiated funding requests, or requests received after the posted deadline may not be considered.
• The BCSC does not award grants for the following:
  • gifts/awards/party favors or the like (including redistributing to a third party, such as a Brigade requesting items to then distribute to BNs)
  • transportation expenses (bus, air, train, boat, vehicle, etc.)
  • to purchase supplies for fundraisers 
  • stipends for speakers, salaries, & other organizational personnel type expenses
  • to support scholarship funds.
• SFRGs are limited to $1,000 during the BCSC fiscal year of 1 June - 31 May.
• All grant awards are subject to approval based upon availability of funds and committee vote.
• The Community Outreach Committee has up to 30 days from the deadline to meet & review applications. The slate of approved grants then must be voted on by the general BCSC membership before notification to organizations occurs.
• Grant recipients are required to submit an AAR and receipts within 45 days of their event, using a web-based form provided on BCSC’s web site.

18. BCSC’s Community Outreach Grants are made possible through BCSC's special events, yearly bazaar sales, and thrift store consignments, which are run by an all-volunteer force. Will the recipients of this application be available to volunteer at BCSC fundraising events in the future?
