67 Pall Mall Verbier is delighted to invite guests to what promises to be an entertaining but educational evening hosted by one of the new generation of winemakers here in the Alps.
Our host is Mikaël Magliocco of the Valais family domain, who will present a 10-wine mini-vertical tasting spanning four different wines, including the oldest vintage of some of the cuvées.
The wines will be accompanied by an Assiette Valaisanne, a dish that serves as the gastronomic emblem of the canton and features several of the region’s gourmet treasures including various Valais AOP cured meats, Raclette du Valais cheese AOP and Valais rye bread AOP.
While the first wines at Magliocco were bottled by Daniel Magliocco in 1981, it was the arrival of his son Mikaël to the estate in 2006 that has seen the property rise to prominence and critical acclaim. Today the wines, which have been organically certified since 2018, include the zingy, saline-tinged Petite Arvine and the spicey, violet-toned Syrah – both of which will be tasted on the night.
We hope you will join us for what promises to be an enlightening evening discussing everything from terroir and grape varieties to ageing potential and organic viticulture, with plenty of good food, wine – and company – along the way.
