  • Leadership Fort Wayne is a nine-month program that trains, prepares, and inspires individuals to drive positive change in Fort Wayne-Allen County. Since 1983, more than 1,500 Leadership Fort Wayne alumni have gone on to make a significant impact in our community and beyond. Wherever you are on your leadership journey – emerging, seasoned, or somewhere in between – the LFW program can help you reach your full potential!

    • Program Tuition  
    • Leadership Fort Wayne tuition covers the cost of 10 program day meals, class materials, and scheduled activities/tours. If selected as a participant of the Leadership Fort Wayne program, tuition payment can be made by either the participant, employer/organization, or sponsoring individual(s). A limited number of  Designated Seat Sponsorships* are available to GFW Inc. investors only on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is due in full before the program Orientation on January 18, 2024, or as otherwise instructed if a payment plan is requested.

      Current GFW Inc. Member Employee = $2,500 (To confirm whether or not your organization is a member, visit our member directory here.)

      Non-GFW Inc. Member Employee or General Applicant = $3,000

    • Tuition Assistance

      Community and alumni support makes it possible to offer limited financial assistance to those in need, removing barriers to participation and encouraging greater diversity and inclusion for individuals of all abilities. Tuition assistance requests are considered only after the class selection process is complete and will in no way impact consideration of your Leadership Fort Wayne application.

    • Applicant & Employer Commitment 
    • Leadership Fort Wayne is a significant commitment of time, focus, and energy. Employers are asked to commit to and provide their full support of the candidate during their time in the program. Participants are required to communicate the program expectations below and share the event calendar with their supervisor, as needed. 

      • Attend the mandatory two-day orientation in January
      • Attend at least 75% of the eight monthly, full-day sessions thereafter (February-September)
      • Complete pre-work class assignments (1-2 hours/month)
      • Participate in a Community Action Project (meetings built into monthly classes + 2-6 hours/month)
      • Serve as an intern on a local nonprofit board for 6-12 months upon graduation

      If you fail to meet the obligations and expectations of the program, you may be asked to either withdraw from the class or make up missed sessions the following year. Program tuition is non-refundable should you withdraw or be unable to complete the above requirements.
