    This workshop will be an introduction of Optical Genome Mapping (OGM) to detect structural variants and copy number variants in clinical diagnostic laboratories. We will describe the OGM method in details (step-by-step), technical limitations and advantages, analysis pipelines (de novo and rare variants in terms of their sensitivities and specificities associated with structural variants and copy number variants), and its potential clinical utilities in patients with constitutional diseases and cancers.

    This workshop will describe Optical Genome Mapping (OGM) in patients with plasma cell neoplasms. We will describe different approaches to generate OGM data on CD138 enriched plasma cells, demonstrate how to analyze structural variants and copy number variants using genome-wide approach for hypo and hyperdiploidy and targeted approach for specific biomarkers related to plasma cell neoplasms, as well as interpret and report OGM results at a clinical setting.

We will describe technical approaches to generate OGM data on fresh or frozen bone and soft tissue tumor specimen, demonstrate how to analyze structural variants and copy number variants using genome-wide approach and targeted approach for specific biomarkers related to bone and soft tissue tumors, as well as interpret and report OGM results for bone and soft tissue tumors at a clinical setting.
