    Our repair categories:

    Electrical appliances - Examples: Kettles, toasters, turntables, lamps, amps, sewing machines, vacuums, clock-radios, blenders.  Note: Check first if you can get your item fixed under warranty.

    Small furniture items & general repairs - Examples: Wooden chairs, coffee tables, wooden chests. 

    Sewing - Examples: Clothing, bedding, cotton bags.  Note: This is not an alteration service.  Please make sure items are clean.

    Bike mechanics - Examples: Bikes and other wheeled items like prams, trolleys, scooters.

    Leather shine - Examples: Leather shoes, bags and jackets that need shining.  Note: This service doesn't include stitching and repair.

    Data removal - Get data removed from your devices before selling/donating them.  Examples: Laptops, phones, tablets.

     

    ***Please bring your item with any replacement parts needed (if known) and any repair manuals and power cords etc.***

    Please read these rules and click 'yes' below to confirm that you accept the following: - Volunteer fixers carry out the repairs and at times may assist the item's owner to do the fixing themselves. - The work carried out by fixers is performed free of charge on a voluntary basis. - Any replacement parts usually need to be brought in by the item's owner. - Visitors bringing items for repair do so at their own risk. - Richmond Neighbourhood Centre (RNC) and its volunteers are not liable for any loss whatsoever that may result from work performed at Richmond Repair Corner. This includes, for example, any direct or indirect loss from advice given or repairs done, or any lost or damaged items or parts. - Volunteer fixers offer no guarantee for the repairs carried out and are not liable if items repaired at Richmond Repair Corner turn out not to work properly at home. - The fact that the repairs are being performed by unpaid volunteers reflects the allocation of risks and limitation of liability. - We do not test and tag electrical appliances. - We welcome and expect behaviour that is respectful and courteous. - Fixers are entitled to refuse to repair items, for example, if an item is unsafe, unhygienic or otherwise unsuitable. - Fixers are not obliged to reassemble disassembled appliances that cannot be repaired. - Item owners are solely responsible for the tidy removal of items that cannot be repaired. - Photographs or videos may be taken by Richmond Repair Corner for use in news stories or promotional materials. If you do not want to have your photograph taken or used, please advise us on the day of the event. Do you accept these terms and conditions? If 'yes,' please continue with your booking.
