KL2 / K-12 BIRCWH Application Workshop
This two-session application workshop will be led by Janet Gross, PhD, teaching faculty for the Georgia CTSA MSCR and CPTS programs. She is an expert in federal grant applications in the health sciences and NIH grant writing. The in-person workshop will take place on October 19 and October 26 and both sessions will run from 9:30-11:30am. To attend the workshop, please complete the form below and you will receive an Outlook invite. Those who attend both sessions will be eligible for up to 5 hours of individual grant writing consultation with Dr. Gross. Zoom attendance will be an option only for those not on the Emory campus. The workshop will be recorded and posted to the Georgia CTSA website for later viewing.
About the KL2 Program:
The goal of the Georgia CTSA KL2 Program is to support and enhance career development for junior faculty (MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or PharmD) interested in a career that encompasses clinical and translational science (CTS) and clinical and translational research (CTR). The KL2 Program supports junior faculty at the Georgia CTSA partner institutions (Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Georgia) to become independent, established, and ethical clinical and translational science investigators. About the Emory BIRCWH Program:
The Emory BIRCWH program, short for Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health, is a highly selective career development program for junior faculty interested in women's health research and/or sex/gender science. The ultimate goal of the BIRCWH program is to train junior faculty, through a mentored research and career development experience, to become independent investigators who use novel, interdisciplinary approaches to advance the science of women’s health and sex/gender research.
