23/24 Improv Troupe Audition Form

Each year, First Act Theatre Arts holds auditions for students ages 12 to 18 to be a part of our award-winning Improv Troupe. This group works to fully develop original characters in each scene, show how their characters are connected to one another, establish the world in which the scene is set, and follow the rules and restrictions of a variety of Improv games. Our 2023-24 Troupe will audition on October 14, 2023, at the First Act Theatre Arts Studio. These auditions will be in a group setting. Before you are allowed to audition, we need you to read the following information and submit this form.

*If selected to be a member of the First Act Theatre Arts Improv Troupe you will be required to pay a fee of $375. That fee will be broken down into 3 payments of $125 and placed in your First Act KC family account. Those payments will need to be made by 11/1, 1,1 and 3/1.

*There may be minor additional costs associated with the Improv Troupe for food or beverages when we go on our two outings to KC Improv. In total we do not see these fees exceeding $50-75.

*It is important for troupe members to attend all rehearsals and SNL performances. Please indicate your conflict on the form below, these will be the only excused absences. If a troupe member misses more than one rehearsal, that is not excused, they may be removed from the troupe.

*If a troupe member is removed from the troupe because of unexcused absences or behavior, they will not receive a refund for their troupe fees. All fees paid are completely non-refundable.

It is important for every troupe member to be present at each SNL performance. Please check the box of any dates that you know you may not be available. All of the performances take place on Sunday's from 6:00-7:30pm.*
