  • Health and Physical Limitations

    Please let us know of any health and/or physical limitations that might affect your ability to perform certain duties as a Watonwan County Humane Society Volunteer.
  • Have you had any contagious animal-related diseases in your household, i.e. parvovirus, ringworm, etc. If yes, please sign and give details below.
  • Volunteer and Foster Care Release and Hold Harmless Agreement

    In consideration of the services of the Watonwan County Humane Society, their employees, directors, officers, volunteers, and all other persons or entities acting on their behalf (hereinafter collectively referred to as "WCHS"), I hereby agree to release and discharge them from liability arising from negligence, on behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, and estate as follows: 1) I acknowledge that animal rescue operations entail known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, or death to myself and other persons, and also property damage. Risks include, among other things: bites, scratches, bruises, and damaged clothing or other property. i understand that such risks cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. 2) I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all the risks existing in this activity or as a result of contact with an animal. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks. 3) I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless WCHS from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity, my use of their equipment or facilities, or my volunteering for WCHS, arising from negligence. Should WCHS or anyone acting on their behalf, be required to incur attorney's fees and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs. 4) I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or else I agree to bar the costs of such injury or damage to myself. I further certify that I have no medical or physical conditions which could interfere with my safety in the activity, or else I am willing to assume-and bear the costs of-all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition. 5) I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portion shall remain force and effect. 6) Volunteering includes but is not limited to such activities as fostering animals, walking dogs, handling cats, cleaning, and helping at events. These volunteer activities may take place either on or off shelter premises. *By signing this document, I agree that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged
