    are invited to enter the final race of the four passage races.

    Part of the Royal Artillery Yacht Club Regatta

    A Trophy will be awarded for the winner of this 6th September race, and then the overall winner will receive the Passage Race Series Trophy.

    Both trophies will be awarded at the Wednesday Evening Racing Prize Giving on 24th September 2025

    Remember, if you have done all four races, you are allowed one discard.

  • I/We wish to enter my/our boat for the RSYC Passage Race 4, organised by the Royal Solent Yacht Club. 

    I understand there is no charge.

    I/we agree to be bound by the Rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing.

    I/We undertake to sail in compliance with the RYA Racing Charter.

    I/We certify that the particulars of my/our boat, as stated on this form, are correct.

    I/We accept that neither the Royal Solent Yacht Club nor its representatives shall bear any responsibility for any loss, damage, death, or personal injury howsoever caused to any boat, skipper or crew. 

    I/We confirm that I/we hold third party indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of £5,000,000 (five million pounds sterling). 

    I/We warrant the suitability of the boat for races and accept full responsibility for the sea-worthiness and safe navigation of the boat, the competence of the crew and pursuant to Fundamental Rule 4 for deciding whether to start, continue or retire from any race.  I/We accept that any inspection of the boat does not in any way limit my/our absolute responsibility in these respects. 

    I/We undertake to draw these matters to the attention of all members of the crew before the start of each and every race.

    I/we agree to allow RSYC to pass on my/our address and/or email address to third party insurers in the event of a possible insurance claim.

    Your Personal Data

    1.      The Royal Solent Yacht Club (RSYC, 'the Club') will always adhere to the current data protection legislation and takes seriously its responsibilities to protect personal data. All information provided on this Conditions of Entry form (excluding payment details) will be stored on RSYC computers and those of our Website Provider (Peekaboo/Pepper Creative), so that we can manage your entries to the racing events at the RSYC.

    2.      Management of your race entries includes, but is not limited to, assigning your boat to the correct class, checking your boat's rating, sending necessary materials to you via email or surface mail, contacting you via phone or email to resolve any queries regarding your entries, contacting you to inform you of messages, protests and other key information, producing results in Halsail and publishing them in the Club and on our website and providing printed and electronic lists that include your boat details (boat name, sail number, hull colour, design and length) to our race management team.

    3.      A subset of your data will be publicly visible on our website and in the Club in the form of 'Competitor Lists' and in the form of 'Results Lists', which may also be distributed to other entrants. Details may include, but are not limited to: Division, group, boat name, boat type, sail number, bow number, club, name of owner/helm, name of entrant and handicap rating.

    4.      We will retain your personal data on our computers so that you can make an entry to other RSYC events without needing to re-enter all the information. We will also retain the website data as a historic public record of your participation in sailing at the RSYC. You may request to see the personal information that we hold about you at any time and/or request that such personal information is deleted.

    5.      The Club may arrange for photographs or videos to be taken, both ashore and on-the-water, for publication on our website, in our magazine, in sailing related media channels and via social media channels to promote the Club. The entrant authorises the use of their name, voice, picture and video along with any information provided on the Condition of Entry form to be used without payment in any broadcast, telecast, communication, promotion, or advertising. The entrant also agrees that the information provided may be used by the event organisers for the purpose of promoting future or other events.

    6.      The RSYC has a Data Privacy Policy which can be found at www.royalsolent.org/privacy-policy/. Your data will be stored in accordance with this Policy.
