K'boodle provides a platform for local handmade artisans to showcase and sell their products in a retail setting located in the Cataraqui Centre Mall. We are always impressed to see what talent people have and the unique items they make and are excited to have you apply.
We have a variety of display options available for you to choose the one that best suits your small business needs. Pictures as well as dimensions can be found on the website to better help you decide which space you require to display your product.
Spaces are limited and based on the amount of interest you may not be able to get the size of space that you request first, if that is the case, you will be given the option of choosing another size space or be placed on the waitlist for the space that you would like.
To avoid over saturation, we will limit the amount of "similar" products within the store. Not only does this provide the customer with a wider variety of items to shop from but it also provides you, the artisan with less in store competition. The more niche your products are, the less competition you will have.
Your application will be accepted on a variety of things including, but not limited to: Quality of your product, your products uniqueness, the overall appeal of your branding, and your engagement on social media.
We do not promise sales - you need to work hard to promote your business, just like we do to promote K'boodle. We will help in any way we can, and we will regularily re-share your tagged posts to our social media. But the hard work has to come from you!
Filling out this application is not a confirmation of your approval. This application is intended to express your interest in becoming an artisan at K'boodle.
All successful applicants will be required to commit to a minimum 3 month term with us and will be required to pay the first months membership fee upon your acceptance. Monthly invoices are sent on the 20th of each month and all payments are due by the 1st. We require a minimum of 60 days notice in writing to end your contract with us. All move ins take place on the first day of the month, and move outs on the last day of the month. Terms cannot be ended between the months of November – January.
Once your application is approved you will be sent a contract that you must sign, adhering to K'boodles' terms and conditions. Yes a contract! When you enter into business with someone there should be a contract. Afterall, a proper binding contract protects both parties entering into this partnership. You will have 48 hours to sign and return your contract and pay the first invoice for the membership fees.
