Nominations are welcome from MKC Members with an active membership, You can nominate yourself for any position except for the post of President (Only existing committee members can apply for this post) The nomination form should be submitted no later than 5.00 pm Saturday, 11th October 2025.
- You have to be an active registered member of MKC for the past 2 years to be eligible to put in your nomination [Rule 50 (c)].
- Any nomination submitted after the closing date is not valid.
- A member may nominate themselves for only one position.
- If only one member is nominated for the position, then the returning officer will declare that member as elected to the position without seeking any further nominations at the AGM.
- If more than one nomination has been received for a position a secret ballot will be held. (Rule 55 (4))
- A member who is nominated for a position and fails to be elected to that position, may be nominated for any other position for which an election is yet to be held and if there are no nominations received for that particular position.
- If there are no nominations received to fill any of the vacancies by due date, further nominations may be received at the AGM for the unfilled positions.
- If more than one member is nominated at the AGM, a ballot will be held.
- Nominations once put in can be withdrawn at anytime - on or before the election.
- 2 positions have been reserved exclusively for the Youth Representatives [Rule 54 (f)]. A youth is a member between the age of 18 to 25 years.
