About this Form

Please complete the below form if you are planning to attend Manchester Pride and require the use of our accessibility facilities. 

You may also be entitled to a ticket for your Personal Assistant at no extra cost via our Personal Assistant Scheme. We will require you to upload evidence when applying for this scheme (more information about this scheme is detailed below).

Please note the closing date for applications is 18:00 pm Friday 9th August 2024. This allows Manchester Pride to accommodate as many requests as possible in advance of your arrival, and it may not be possible to make specific accommodations on applications received after this date.

Personal Assistant Scheme Information

Section 3 of the form allows you to request a complimentary Personal Assistant ticket.

As part of this request, we kindly ask that you supply supporting documentation. 

If accepted, your Personal Assistant will receive the same ticket type that you purchased for yourself.

Supporting Evidence:

Please upload a scanned copy or a picture from your mobile device of your supporting evidence to this form. You may block out any information that relates to the amount of benefit paid or health conditions etc. that may be on your documents.

To be eligible for the Personal Assistant Scheme you must be able to supply one of the following documentation dated within the past 12 months, or with a valid date covering the event:

• The front page of DLA letter with PIP letter showing the start and end dates of your entitlement
• The front page of Attendance Allowance letter
• Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
• Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
• Valid Access Card showing you require a +1 to accompany you

If you are not in receipt of any of the above, you can supply the following to support your application and it will be reviewed on a case by case basis:

• Doctors/Specialist Letter or Personal Statement confirming why you require the services requested

How to Apply

1. Purchase your festival tickets*! Check out our website for the different options.

*do not buy a ticket for your Personal Assistant if you are applying via our Scheme (via the application below).

2. Complete this form and quote your ticket reference number. 

*Ticketmaster reference numbers all follow this format 12-34567/UK1 (1 or 2 numbers followed by a dash, and 5 numbers with UK1 and the end) this can be found on customer confirmation emails and on your Ticketmaster account.
3. Upload your supporting evidence.

Next Steps

1. Once you have completed this form, you will receive an automatic 'Thank you' message and a copy of your completed form to confirm we have received your application.

2. Manchester Pride Accessibility Team will contact you within 10 working days

3. As the Festival approaches, we will send you an Information Pack that will include key contact details, maps showing the locations of facilities, and any other final information.

Please Note: There is no dedicated parking on site for the Manchester Pride Festival, suggestions for parking will be detailed in the Acess Information Pack.

You can charge your wheelchair at our Access Reception, please note the power source for this structure is temporary. When arriving at the reception please be sure to ask staff for assistance.

Please be aware that the fridge is powered from a temporary power source. We cannot be held liable for any temporary power outages. Please bring any medication you require in a clear sealed bag with your name and phone number on the bag for identification. 

Please read the below to understand the responsibilities of a Personal Assistant:

Personal Assistants must comprehensivley support the access customer throughout their time at the Festival. Personal Assistants should not be heavily under the influence of alcohol or use any illicit substances. 

To protect visitors with access requirements, any personal assistants who do not adhere to these standards runs the risk of being ejected from the Festival site.

Please remember that our Personal Assistant Ticket Scheme is in place to offer inidivudal support to our access customers to ensure they have the best possible time at Manchester Pride.
