Overview
Black Girl Art Show and Black Boy Art Show are national exhibition tours that celebrate black artists. We’re looking for a local and skilled exhibition manager who can execute the day-of coordination in the most efficient and memorable way possible for both Black Girl Art Show & Black Boy Art Show. The ideal candidate will be able to follow event processes & procedures created by their project manager. Above all, the exhibition manager must be comfortable in a leadership role that demands a creative and solution-driven mindset.
Qualifications
- Local Resident within the event city.
- A minimum of 2 years experience as an event coordinator or a similar role.
- Highly charismatic and engaging.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
Responsibilities
- Supervise & assist with event setup and brand placement
- Organize and manage exhibitors booth placements according to the site map.
- Oversee pre-registered volunteers
- Oversee stage activity (Performing Artists, DJ, and Event Host)
- Day of Point of contact for event subcontractors. (Staging, Photographers, Food trucks, etc)
You will coordinate with a friendly and supportive project manager who will be your guiding star throughout the exhibition.
Physical Demands: Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, up to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand and wrist motion may be required.
