Greetings from Gabrielle, your go-to professional pet sitter!
Who I am: I am a fully insured professional pet sitter that specializes in overnight, in home pet care. I am a proud Holy Spirit filled Christian and I bring those values into my business. I treat my client's homes and pets with the utmost respect and appreciation.
During a regular week, you can find me serving at my home church, going on hikes, singing and writing songs, spending time with my family, working on fun projects, going on adventures, traveling or spending quality time with friends.
Animals have always been a great passion of mine! Over the past 8 years, I've cared for domestic, exotic and farm animals. In 2018 and 2019 I worked at a family owned "Austrailian themed" zoo in Kentucky and ended my time there as Head Zookeeper and oversaw the care for our nursery animals. After dealing with major health issues, God said it was time for a change. I packed my bags and moved to Hawaii for a year! It was such an amazing experience and I was so blessed to start my pet sitting journey there. In 2020, I moved back home to North Idaho where I've been pet sitting as a profession full time.
What I do: The majority of my clients travel frequently throughout the year so whether they need me for a weekend or several weeks, I pack my bags and "move in" to their house while they're away.
I maintain their pet's routine and the running of their household throughout my stay. I change water daily, give fresh food at mealtime, clean litter boxes, pick up goldmines from the yard, take dogs on walks and facilitate vet appointments when needed. I get the mail, water the plants, keep an eye out for hazards, shovel snow, take out the trash, collect packages and anything else that they would normally take care of at home. I love giving belly rubs, spoiling them, implementing enrichment and obedience training.
I am bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. This covers injuries to me, your pet, damage to your home, lost keys, lost pets, and medical expenses. I am also Cat & Dog First Aid certified through Red Cross.
I book my services in 12, 20 or 24 hour increments. If someone is wanting care for their pets overnight, they would book Overnight Care.
(For example, if my client leaves their house at 11 a.m. on Monday, I will arrive at 8 p.m. and stay overnight until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. I will then leave for the day and arrive back at the house at 8 p.m. Tuesday for the night.)
If there are visits required during the day, I offer a 20 hour Extended Care service. I will spend the majority of my day at my client's home giving the pets minimal time left alone each day.
For pets that need round-the-clock care, I offer a 24 hour Full-Time Care service. This is a premium service and has limited availability.
We'd be a good fit if: If your pet or pets already maintain a schedule where they can be left alone for 5-8 hours every day. I also require that dogs are trained with basic obedience, behave on a leash, don't destroy property and are non-reactive with people or food. Cats must be friendly. I offer farm stays on a case by case basis. If you're looking for someone to drop in and feed, water and do potty breaks during the day and don't need someone overnight, I'm afraid I won't be the best option for you.
I serve the local people of North Idaho as my homebase, but I also offer Travel Pet Sitting where I will drive or fly to you at a premium rate.
