Baking & Canning Contest

$100.00 goes to the Best of Show $25.00 Shop Fruita gift certificate goes to the first place winner in each category. The most unique entry will also be recognized. The festival reserves the right to disqualify any entry. For any pumpkin products such as pumpkin breads and cream cheese frostings, the product must be refrigerated and kept at or below 41 degrees F. For any salsa or green chill. please prepare and keep this product cold. You may bring it in a jar. but we ask that they are not canned. avoiding any "pop." The Mesa County Health Department recommends all participants to obtain a Food Handlers Card in-line with Cottage Foods, but is not required. The bottom disclaimer will be on display with all products for our judges.

This product was produced in a home kitchen that is not subject to state licensure or inspection and that may also process common food allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, milk, fish, and crustacean shellfish. This product is not intended for resale.

All entries must be dropped off at The Christi Reece Group (130 E. Aspen Ave. Fruita. co 81521) Entries can be dropped off on Friday September 22nd between 9:00a-5:30pm or Saturday. September 23rd between sam-10:00am. ALL entries must be dropped off by 10:00am on Sat. September 23 Judging Begins: 12:00pm on Saturday September 23. This includes. but is not limited to the condition of any dish. in- cluding the container it comes in. the quantity remaining presentation of the dish. or if the dish perishes. Entry into the competi- tion does not guarantee placement or winning for any party. Persons judging may not enter the baking and canning contest.
