This driver/vendor orientation must be completed if you will be driving a vehicle on-site for any reason (ex: deliveries, pick-ups, maintenance, concrete, etc.) Mahalo!

GENERAL TRUCKING ACTIVITIES: PROJECT ACCESS REQUIREMENTS

Please read each requirement statement and acknowledge your agreement to comply by checking each box.

1. Working safely is a condition of access. Disciplinary actions are associated with failure to adhere to this or other site-specific requirements.

2. Drivers must follow and comply with on-site safety signage and regulations, as well as all federal traffic laws when operating vehicles on-site.

3. Drivers will never utilize a mobile device/phone while operating a vehicle/equipment on-site.

4. Drivers may only exit the vehicle for loading and unloading. Driver must stay within the vicinity of truck. If leaving loading area, drivers must be escorted by NPCL.

5. If exiting vehicle, driver must wear required on-site PPE: Hard Hat, High Vis Clothing, Safety Gloves, Safety Glasses, Long Pants, and Steel/Composite Toe Boots. *If you are missing any of the items listed, you must remain in your truck at all times.

6. Prior to loading or unloading, verify load hasn't shifted during transport. During loading or unloading, no workers should be standing in area below load where shifted materials may fall.

7. When loading/unloading to or from a flatbed, driver must use a trucker ladder for access. No climbing/jumping is permitted.

8. Drivers will park only in designated areas specified by your point of contact or NPCL.

9. Drivers will be aware and stay clear of forklifts and other heavy equipment on-site.

10. All incidents including near misses, injuries/first aid, equipment/property damage, or environmental releases must be reported to NPCL immediately, regardless of severity.

11. In the event of an emergency, you will hear 3 whistles or horns, indicating that you are to stop work, and assemble at the primary emergency muster point (Princess Kaiulani Triangle Park), or at the secondary emergency muster point (Sidewalk fronting Sheraton Kaiulani hotel).

I acknowledge that this orientation is specific to delivery driver/vendor activities only. A full HSE orientation will be required for any scope of service outside of delivery activities.
