The Board of Ordained Ministry awards financial aid to Virginia Conference seminary students who are certified candidates for ordained ministry.
Kinds of Financial Aid:
There are different categories of financial aid available—some awards are repaid in years of service and some are outright grants with various qualifications for the scholarships. The same application is used for all kinds of VAUMC seminary student financial aid, so you only need to submit one application.
Applicants may receive a combination of scholarships, Pell Grant funds and/or Service Loans (which are paid back by serving one year for every semester awarded). Applicants may indicate if they do not wish to receive a Service Loan.
