For breeding to stallions of the Holsteiner Hengsthaltungs GmbH the purchaser agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. The payment will be splitted in two parts (stud fee II) or three parts (stud fee I):

• The first part of the payment is to be done before the first insemination.
• The second part is due if the mare is found pregnant at 30 after insemination.
• For stud fee I there will also be a third part, the foal fee, which is due if a living foal is born.
• The purchaser will make sure, that the mare will be checked for a pregnancy no later than 30 days after the last insemination and inform the representative on the result.
• If the mare looses the foal after the second payment, the breeder will be allowed to try again with the same mare and stallion in the next season only having to pay the booking fee again.

2. The semen is to be used only for the mare under contract unless permission is given by the representative to use another mare owned by the purchaser.

3. The semen will be supplied for a maximum of three heats (one dose per heat).

4. If embryo transfer is attempted, this has to be approved by the representative and an additional stud fee is to be paid for any additional implanted embryo.

5. The use of the semen for ICSI or the splitting of doses if not allowed.

6. All used straws must be returned to the Holsteiner Verband representative Sophia Gostelow.

7. No straws may be destroyed, transferred or sold whatsoever.
