Downtown Greensboro Incorporated (DGI) has designed a Façade Improvement Program (FIP) to stimulate new investment in Downtown. The Program is also intended to provide an economic incentive for renovating building facades, to encourage quality design and construction that enhances the historic character and the appearance of the area, to improve the business setting, and to provide a timely application and review process.

Required Documentation
Please confirm attachment of the following items:
1. Photos/images, in electronic and printed format, of the site
2. Renderings of the proposed work to include materials and colors
3. Historical data on the facade
4. Copy of the signed lease (if property is not owned by the applicant)
5. At least one detailed cost estimate from a licensed, independent contractor for the total construction cost. This shall also include a line-by-line itemization specific to the grant request, as applicable.
6. A copy of your W-9 is required to process your reimbursement. Please note that submitting a W-9 is the only way to receive the funds!
