  • GROUP/EVENT VOLUNTEER POLICIES

    • All individuals must be 18 years or older, or be a youth with an accompanied guardian (as stated below), and must sign a liability waiver prior to volunteering.
      • LifeLine allows youth volunteers to participate in family-friendly opportunities without a parent or legal guardian present as long as their parent or legal guardian signs the Volunteer Release Form and designates an adult guardian who is 21 years of age or more to be present and by their side at all times during the youth's volunteer time. The minimum number of chaperones is 2 adults per group; if groups have over 10 participants, there must be a 1:5 ratio of chaperones to youth group participants.
    • All individuals must wear closed-toed, flat-soled shoes, and t-shirt length (or longer) sleeve shirts. We recommend volunteers wear full-length pants but shorts or other appropriate bottoms are feasible.
    • Volunteers must perform their duties and responsibilities free of the influence of unlawful drugs and unimpaired by alcohol.
    • Smoking is allowed in specific outside designated areas. Please ask your Volunteer & Events Coordinator where those designated areas are and please dispose of all trash appropriately in proper cigarette receptacles.
    • Please report all hazards and unsafe conditions to a member of management as soon as they are discovered. All volunteer-related injuries, illness, animal bites or scratches must be reported immediately to the group leader and/or the Volunteer & Events Coordinator to ensure the appropriate paperwork is completed.
