  • New students should complete this form to request private lessons with Mason Community Arts Academy. Depending on studio space and instrument type, it may take some time for our Private Music Instruction (PMI) team to follow up with an instructor match and trial lesson offer, but please know that our goal is to contact you with options as soon as possible. We would love to have you join our Academy family!

    Note: If you are planning to request instruments for multiple students or instruments, please submit a separate inquiry for each.

    Academy lesson hours are:

    Mondays: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
    Tuesdays: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
    Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
    Thursdays: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
    Fridays: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Saturdays: 10:00am - 4:00 pm

    The more availability you provide, the more easily our PMI Team can place you with an instructor. Students with more availability have a greater chance of moving off our waitlist and being paired with an instructor sooner.

    We have three different categories of private lesson instructors at the Academy with varying experience levels and price points. Options for teacher categories vary by instrument and are dependent on each instructor's current availability and schedule. Rates vary according to lesson length and teacher category as follows:

    Teaching Artist Rate Per Lesson:
    30min= $60.00 45 min= $78.00 60 min= $93.00

    Instructor Rate Per Lesson:
    30min= $51.00 45 min= $64.00 60 min= $76.50

    Junior Instructor Rate Per Lesson:
    30min= $44.00 45 min= $56.50 60 min= $69.50

  • TRIAL LESSON ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

    When space becomes available with an instructor that matches your requested instrument, availability, and instructional needs, our PMI team will contact you via email to offer you a trial lesson with that instructor. All trial lessons are paid lessons at the instructor's regular rate. Trial lessons are an opportunity for students and instructors to connect and make sure the lessons will be a good fit before committing to weekly lessons for the remainder of the semester.

    To confirm the trial lesson, our staff will require additional information to set up your account in our registration system and process the trial lesson payment. After we confirm a trial lesson day and time that works for your schedule, we will send you instructions on how to set-up your Academy account. These steps must be completed ahead of the scheduled lesson day and time to finalize your registration and reserve your lesson time with the instructor.
