The Amos Eno Gallery is thrilled to offer NYC-area artists, at any stage of their careers, the opportunity to join the gallery at the new level of Community Membership. This more affordable membership option offers a smaller range of benefits than our "full" Member level, and it is an excellent way for local artists to engage with the gallery and fellow artists to foster a creative and supportive community.
Our nonprofit, artist-run cooperative gallery has been a fixture in the NY art scene since 1974 when it opened in Soho and has moved with changing arts neighborhoods over the years to land at our current space at 56 Bogart St in Brooklyn, NY.
Amos Eno Gallery is open Thursday-Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and is run by a small community of professional artists whose Members are vetted through a rigorous reviewing process by their peers.
Artists based in the NYC area, working in all varieties of media, at all stages of their careers, are encouraged to apply for Community Membership. Submissions from artists who identify as being part of under-represented communities are particularly encouraged. There is no fee to apply.
Benefits:
- Inclusion in at least two group shows per year, either in The Project Space or the main gallery space at Amos Eno.
- Promotion on a dedicated Community Membership webpage on amoseno.org with the artist’s name, 3 images of work, and a 250-word bio/artist statement for each artist, and inclusion in Artsy.net exhibitions.
- Inclusion of 1 small work/print in the print rack in the gallery.
- Periodic opportunities for small 2- or 3-person shows in The Project Space, curated by the Director.
- Periodic promotion/sharing of artist's work on Amos Eno social media at Director’s discretion.
- Artist's net 80% on all works sold (gallery director’s commission is 20%).
