How To Properly Inspect Your Paint Project
- Inspect in normal lighting (flash lights and spotlights are not normal)
- Stand at a normal distance from the surface painted 3-6 feet
- Start on one side and walk around the room or exterior of the home
- Look for and identify the following: You may use blue painters tape to mark the area. Apply tape softly so it barely sticks. If you cant reach the area identify it on a list. Facing the front of your home, the right hand side is the right side of you home. The entrance door for a room is the front of the room and when you walk in the right hand side is the right wall.
Look For and Identify the Following
Missing paint, missing caulk
Runs or wavy ligns (tape lines are only utilized in very high contrast areas)
Paint drips or splatter on surounding areas including other painted surfaces, floors, hardware, light switches, plugs, plate covers, etc.
These are the basic touch up items and should cover most if not all touch ups. If you have additional concerns we will be glad to address them.
