Requirements and Work Health & Safety Procedures
The Koonya Garlic Festival is committed to the health and safety of all crew and visitors.
As a valued member of our team, it is vital that you read and understand the following safety information. You may also be required to complete further onsite training depending on where you are allocated to work.
Your Responsibilities
You must take reasonable care for your own (and other peoples’) health and safety
You must comply with any reasonable work health and safety instructions, policies and procedures given by Koonya Garlic Festival management
Use equipment supplied for work safety at the workplace correctly and use equipment logbooks accurately.
Correct safety risks immediately where possible. Where not possible to correct, immediately report any risks, illness or injuries to your Coordinator or Festival management.
Site Requirements
Always obey speed, parking and vehicular restrictions
Closed-in shoes must be worn at all times during your shifts for your own safety. Sandals and thongs are not appropriate footwear.
Workers must not be under the influence of alcohol during their shift.
Violence, bullying and sexual harassment are not tolerated. Offenders will be removed and the police contacted if required.
Respect the stallholders: vendors are not able to supply volunteer meals unless provided a valid meal ticket or payment.
