Anna Mae Sonflower Seeds is a non-profit 501(c)3 Our vision is to provide creative, safe, and brave spaces for African American and Latino women to grow, heal and break the cyclical barriers of historical trauma that keep their families and communities from thriving. Our mission is achieved through a growth mindset of the whole person, providing training, educational support groups, certified doula services, certified coaching support, prayer and nature walks, retreats, and mental ART healing practices for families. We serve women and children.Building resilience is essential for navigating life's challenges. Teen groups can help Black and Brown girls develop resilience by offering emotional support and coping strategies. Teen groups can foster leadership skills and a sense of positive partnerships among Black and Brown girls. Research has highlighted that programs emphasizing leadership development can lead to increased confidence and self-efficacy. Also, Teen groups may encourage Black and Brown girls to excel academically by providing a supportive space for studying and sharing educational resources. We are excited for these opportunities for growth for your daughters. We are committed to nurturing positive character development and enhancing soft skills in your teenager. Additionally, we will keep you informed with weekly project updates that your daughter may be involved in. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us, as we consider this a collaborative partnership with parents.
