Use this form to request the use of either the HPLS 15 seater mini bus or the HPLS 8 seater people carrier. Both vehicles are owned by Hampshire Police Leisure Sport and have automatic gearboxes.
The criteria for permissible use are
- Official PSUK sports events or
- Other recognised sports events or competitions where Hantspol is being represented by members in that event
- Any other team or group activity which is supported and authorised by HPLS as an official club members activity. (This can include many types of events - If in doubt enquire with HPLS)
- All those using the transport must be subscribing HPLS members
- There needs to be at least 8 using the mini-bus and at least 5 using the people carrier to justify their use and cost.
Private social use of either vehicle is not permitted. Please provide full details of the event you are wishing to use either vehicle for and submit. We will answer this request as quickly as possible and within 7 days of submission. Using these vehicles outside of the stated criteria may result in uninsured and use without consent. Any request made direct to Netley Reception will be referred to HPLS.

Please note in applying for the use of HPLS mini buses, you need to understand and accept the following; (You need to declare below)
- The person requesting and driver of the vehicle is responsible for taking care of the vehicle whilst it is away from Netley, including safe parking and locking up when unattended.
- The driver is responsible for ensuring they have the correct driving licence catagory for the vehicle.
- The vehicle must be returned clean and tidy with a full tank of fuel.
- Any speeding or parking tickets will come back to the driver at the time.
- Any accidents must be immediately reported as a 'police vehicle incident' and a PVI ref number supplied to HPLS and Transport Dept.
- You need to always check tyres and fluid levels before embarking on a journey.
- For the 8 seater, that due to the maximum carry weight as a guide, the 8-seater is only suitable as a guide for 6 people with large bags, or 7 with medium bags. 8 people without sports bags or suitcases will normally result in the max weight of 792kg being met, however if in doubt please calculate the weight of passengers and any bags. The driver will be responsible for any breaches of traffic law relating to excess gross weight.
- Pick up of the keys need to be arranged with HPLS as they may not be with reception when collecting the vehicle. Contact the HPLS office ahead of the pick up date.
