    As per the LeTip bylaws, an excused absence consists of sick, vacation, or unusual circumstance such as jury duty or family funeral and MUST be reported to the Secretary in advance. An unexcused absence includes business related or a non-communicated absence. You may have an alternate attend in your place up to 6 times per calendar year and not be counted as an absence. See the Bylaws for details. Missing 2 consecutive unexcused meetings or 4 meetings in a calendar quarter (excused or not) may result in the termination of your membership.

    Reference LeTip Bylaws Article III – Membership, Section 3.1 - Section 3.1 i.e. Active Membership. All notices of leave of absences must be submitted prior to the meeting to the Secretary. (A) The Board of Directors has the right to extend a “leave of absence” to a member who is in compliance with attendance, tipping, and current dues obligations. A request for leave of absence must be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors and can only be granted for a period of (30) thirty days. Members wishing to extend a leave of absence must resubmit in writing every thirty days for Board of Directors review. Please: During your LOA duration. Establish confirmation you are not scheduled on the program speaker calendar. If scheduled, provide a substitute to the speaker program director to take your place. Arrange pre-repayment of dues if LOA is during a quarterly renewal.
