• District 7570 Youth Protection Background Submission Form

  • When is a Background Check Needed

A volunteer is defined as any adults involved with Rotaract or  Rotary Youth activities, who have a supervisory role or significant interaction with students. This includes Rotarians, parents, school officials, and volunteers.

STOP - With the exception of RYLA, a background check is not needed for adults who will have casual or occassional interaction with students such as club meetings, conference seminars, community events and/or fundraisers.  As long as they are not alone with the student.

Continue - If you will be alone with a student - You will need a background check!

Inquiries as to the necessity of a background check should be made to the Youth Protection Officer, Mike Mondul, mondums@danvilleva.gov

  • If you will be chaperoning for RYLA, you do not need to fill out the Youth Protection Background Check Form.  Once all the chaperones have submitted their applications, the full list of chaperones will be sent to PeopleTrail to begin the process of Background Checks.  At that time you receive an email and/or a text message advising you to log onto the PeopleTrail portal to submit your PII information.
