Formal Resolution Process

A formal hearing is scheduled and Complainant/Respondent receive written notice.

Title IX Coordinator conducts an investigation and compiles an investigative report.

Title IX Coordinator sends out notice of allegations, hearing date and location.

Advisors are assigned/selected and both parties meet separately with the Title IX Coordinator to go over the process and answer any questions.

Preliminary meetings with Hearing Panelists take place separately with each party and Title IX Coordinator to go over direct and cross and make relevancy determinations.

The hearing is held within 3 months of the formal complaint.

Deliberations take place. A written determination is sent to both parties. Sanctions are implemented depending on the result.
