Thank you for being open to sharing your input for the program I'm working on!
Like many women, in my early forties I started feeling like alcohol wasn't agreeing with my body. I was what I would have considered a social drinker...and we did a lot of socializing.
I just wasn't feeling great and that nagging little voice inside was saying that it was the wine that I so much enjoyed, but I didn't want to face the truth. I couldn't imagine ever being able to remove alcohol as it was so much a part of my life.
After a breaking point moment, I decided I had to make a change. Like many people, I had tried to quit alcohol for Dry January challenges or put rules in place to impose more moderation, but I was never successful.
This time I took a mindset-based approach and applied many of the tools I'd embraced in other areas of my life. That was over 3 years ago and I've been happily alcohol-free ever since, and feel so much better.
Until now, I haven't shared much about why I quit or how I did it successfully because I've never wanted people to feel like I'm preaching to them. It's difficult for some people to understand that you don't have to be an alcoholic to quit alcohol.
But I've decided to shift my focus and open up to share what I've learned for all the women feeling exactly like I did and looking for someone who's been on the journey to guide them.
I would appreciate you sharing your perspectives so that I can build a program that is most supportive!
