The Abide Internship is an opportunity for hard-working and teachable young adults to develop spiritually, personally, and professionally as servant leaders while serving international conference guests in a Jesus-centered community.
The Conference Center
Schloss Heroldeck is a Christian conference and retreat center in Millstatt, Austria. We host different conferences or retreats almost every week. Among our international visitors are Churches, youth groups, missionary organizations, and more.
The Mission of Schloss Heroldeck
Part of our threefold mission is "Refreshing the Saints" and you will be an active part of fulfilling this mission during your internship at Schloss Heroldeck.
We aim to be a place where Christians can take a break from the busyness of their daily lives.
Our Jesus-centered and hospitality-oriented venue provides a peaceful haven for individuals to recharge and realign their focus on Jesus in a conference or personal retreat setting, free from the distractions that often accompany day-to-day living.
Volunteer Work
As intern you will have the opportunity to lead or be a part of a department. You will work up to 40 hours a week.
Depending on your skills and experience, we will assign you to one of the following departments:
Kitchen/food preparation, dining hall, maintenance/landscaping, hospitality, coffee shop, or dishwashing.
This will be your main department, but please be prepared to be flexible, as you wil have to help out in other areas as needed.
Spiritual Input
During your stay at Schloss Heroldeck, we provide daily devotions that include Bible study, worship, and prayer. Additionally, there will be weekly intern meetings where the focus will be on Abiding in Jesus. On Sunday morning we visit our local Calvary Chapel. We also highly want to encourage you to set aside the time of the internship to spend personal time with Jesus.
Join us in 2024 as we rebuild and strengthen our ministry at Schloss Heroldeck.
At Schloss Heroldeck, we are on a mission to rebuild and strengthen our ministry after the challenges posed by COVID-19.
2024 marks a significant milestone as we open our doors for the first time in spring since the pandemic began.
You'll be an active part of rebuilding the ministry here at the Castle.
While our conference calendar may not be as packed as it is during the summer, this internship presents a unique opportunity for an intentional and transformative experience.
