• LINDA & WAYNE ZAUNBRECHER SCHOLARSHIP

    2026 Application
  • Purpose
This scholarship is for a course of study in agriculture, ag education, agribusiness or agriscience at any accredited Louisiana college or university offering such a degree program. Winners of this scholarship who maintain eligibility may reapply each year for an additional 3 successive years, for a total of 4 consecutive academic years. Early college graduation terminates any remaining scholarship payments unless the scholarship recipient immediately enrolls in post-graduate study in agriculture. This scholarship is continuous and may not be deferred at any time. The scholarship is not available for summer terms.

This scholarship must be used for attendance at an accredited Louisiana university beginning with the 2 full semesters or fall/winter/spring quarters immediately following the applicant’s graduation from high school. It may not be deferred at any time. The scholarship annual monetary award for 2026-2027 is $3,000 payable in 2 or 3 equal installments after meeting the eligibility requirements, as outlined in requirements 1-6 below, and the 2nd (and 3rd) payment will be issued upon recipient’s meeting eligibility requirement 6 below.

    2. Pursue a curriculum in agriculture, agribusiness, ag education, or agriscience.
    3. Have an overall cumulative grade point average for 4 years of high school of 2.5 or higher (through the grade period ending with the fall semester of 2025).
    4. Graduate high school in the spring of 2026.
    5. Attend an accredited Louisiana college/university during the fall and spring semesters 2026-2027 or the fall/winter/spring quarters of 2026-2027 as a full-time student as defined by the university, and which institution offers a degree program in the agricultural major declared in applicant’s application.
    6. Earn a grade point average of 2.5 or higher as a full-time student and maintain a course of study in agriculture in the second semester or second and third quarters to be eligible for the successive equal installments of the 2026-27 scholarship award.
