  • Response Time Guidelines

  • Though we always aim to respond to repair requests asap, please read and acknowledge the Sheffield Council response time guidelines below:

    Category - A (emergency) - Within 24 Hours
    All repairs endangering the safety, health or security of the residents or the structure of the building e.g. gas leaks, major electrical faults, blocked WCs, major water leaks, repairs of insecure doors or windows.

    Category - B (urgent) - Within 48 Hours
    Complete breakdown of heating/hot water systems and serious lighting faults.

    Category – C - Within 7 Working Days
    All other urgent repairs affecting the structure and services but not regarded to be prejudicial to the safety, health or security of the residents or the structure of the building, e.g. direct water penetration, refrigerator breakdowns and major cooker faults.

    Category – D - Within 3 Weeks
    All other repairs reported but which do not affect the safety, health or security of the residents or the structure of the building and are services, which do not prevent reasonable occupation of the accommodation. Examples are plasterwork and minor furniture repairs.
