Bushey Islamic Circle is delighted to offer the local community quality Islamic Studies from qualified teachers with their own (Sanad - chain of learning). In filling out this form, you will be registering your interest for your child to join our Islamic Studies. The Islamic Studies comprises: (1) Tajweed, (2) Introduction to Qur'anic Arabic, (3) Qaidah and (4) Qur'an, (5) Salah, (6) Stories of the Prophets, (7) Dua's and (8) An-Nasihah Publications (Learning) and Safar Publications (Qaidah). Please note these classes are designed to cater for to children aged 5 to 17 years of age. Suitable for boys and girls.

Bushey Islamic Circle – School Policies Simplified

Sickness: If your child is unwell, please keep them at home and do not send them to school.

Late Arrivals & Early Leavers: Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will miss the first lesson. Late arrivals or early leavers are generally not allowed, except in limited circumstances with prior authorization via email.

Student Absences: If your child is absent for three consecutive weeks without notice, they may be removed from the school register. You'll still need to pay fees for the notice period and any outstanding fees.

Notice of Leave: We require a four-week written notice if you intend to leave the school. Leaving without notice may require payment of four weeks' fees.

Lunch: Lunchboxes must not contain nuts or seeds due to allergy risks.

Home Support: Homework is assigned weekly on Google Classroom. Parents should join the online classroom and support their child's learning, especially for Quran memorization and reading.

Fees: Timely payment of fees is crucial for the school's smooth operation.

School Correspondence: Ensure your email address is valid and regularly checked. Inform us promptly about allergies, medical conditions, learning difficulties, book/resource issues, absences, or changes in personal details.

Home-School Agreement

Parents/Guardians Should:
- Ensure regular attendance and inform the school of absences or holidays.
- Ensure punctual arrival and proper equipment.
- Support homework completion and high standards.
- Comply with school policies and guidelines.
- Provide a suitable snack for break time.
- Ensure modest clothing and inform about allergies or medical conditions.
- Inform the school about Special Educational Needs.
- Encourage respectful behavior and no vandalism.
- Be polite to staff and residents.
- Not send an unwell child to school.
- Pay school fees on time.
Students Should:
- Behave according to Islamic manners.
- Attend school regularly and on time.
- Bring necessary equipment.
- Dress modestly and be tidy.
- Complete classwork and homework.
- Show respect to teachers and staff.
- Be polite and helpful.
- Keep the school clean.
- Care for school property.
- Be courteous to residents.
- Avoid harming others.
- Adhere to school policies.
The School Should:
- Prioritize students' well-being and development.
- Provide an Islamic environment.
- Ensure high standards.
- Offer a balanced curriculum.
- Keep parents informed.
- Prepare annual reports.
- Welcome parent involvement.
- Address concerns promptly.
- Ensure safety and welfare.
- Follow safeguarding policies.
- Prevent and address bullying.
- Uphold safeguarding principles.
Bullying: Bullying is not tolerated, and actions will be taken against any known incidents.

Safeguarding: We prioritise students' safety and have a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy. All staff members are trained and DBS checked to ensure a safe environment for students.
Consent
I will inform the staff of any important changes to my child’s health, medication or needs and also of any changes to our address or phone numbers given above. In the event of illness, having parental responsibility for the above named child, I give permission for medical treatment to be administered where considered necessary by a nominated first aider, or by suitably qualified medical practitioners. If I cannot be contacted and my child should require emergency hospital treatment, I authorise a qualified medical practitioner to provide emergency treatment or medication.*
Acknowledgment and confirmation
I have provided the above information to the best of my knowledge and confirm that I am registering my child(ren) to join Bushey Islamic Circle (Islamic Studies) 2023/24. Furthermore, I confirm I have disclosed (to the best of my knowledge) any medical concerns or diagnosis which staff should be made aware of and will update staff if my child(ren) develop any symptoms, diagnosis or require medical assistance during their studies with BIC Islamic Studies. Finally, I have read the Bushey Islamic Circle Home-School Agreement and confirm that I have made my child(ren) aware of the policies and agree to abide by them. *
