  • Digital Access Grant: Waitlist for Independent Learning Communities

Bridging the digital divide for homeschool families across the U.S.
  • How It Works

The Digital Access Grant is Love Well Spent's program for placing refurbished laptops with homeschool families who need them. As of 2026, we operate in partnership with Computers 4 People, joining a national network of 400+ organizations expanding digital access across the country.

    Here's the process:

    1. Tell us about your family — fill out the short form below so we have your information on file
    2. Complete your full application with our partner — you'll be directed to Computers 4 People to submit your formal application; select Love Well Spent as your partner organization. (More details in confirmation email once this form is completed.)
    3. We write your recommendation letter — once Computers 4 People receives your application, we submit a personalized recommendation on your behalf
    4. You're matched with a device based on Computers 4 People's current inventory
    5. Device ships to Love Well Spent, then to you with setup support and a welcome message.

We prioritize single-parent households, families raising students with special needs, and families navigating housing instability, medical hardship, or safety concerns.

Important to Know Before You Apply
A few things to know up front:

    • You'll need to complete two short steps — our form below, then the Computers 4 People application. Together they take about 15 minutes.
    • Devices come from inventory. Computers 4 People is the largest nonprofit refurbisher in the country, but their inventory varies. They cannot guarantee a specific delivery timeline.
    • Devices ship to us, then to you. This adds 5–7 business days to the timeline but allows us to provide setup support.
    • Devices come with a 90-day functionality guarantee from Computers 4 People. This doesn't cover drops, spills, or lost or stolen devices.
    • If your need is immediate, we encourage you to also explore Human-I-T or PCs for People as additional resources.
