The Parrot Researchers Group's primary function is to provide communications amongst wild parrot researchers. This is not a group for pet owners, aviary, sanctuary or rescue of parrots. There are many other options for those topics, and if the applicant wishes, we may be able to supply pertinent links.
The mission of the Parrot Researchers Group (PRG) is to establish and promote research needs and priorities relating to wild parrots, with particular attention to regional conservation strategies for the parrots of the world.

The PRG:
- Promotes parrot research icluding all aspects of the Psittaciformes
- Establishes research needs and priorities, with particular attention to regional conservation strategies
- Identifies and addresses barriers to effective research and conservation of parrots (Psittaciformes).
