BalletX is committed to enrolling young artists with substantive ballet technique and a desire to expand the vocabulary of classical ballet. We are seeking dancers who are artistically talented, diverse, open-minded, curious, and hardworking. BalletX is a non-profit organization and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religious creed, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, ethnicity, or national origin.
Dancers are asked to submit the following materials with this application. Applications that do not have all materials attached will not be considered. Reach out to Alisa Moore at amoore@balletx.org with questions regarding submissions.
- Video Audition: The video audition should be a maximum of 15 minutes in length. It should include barre work (tendus, degage with passe, ronde de jambe á terre and en l'air, adagio, and grand battements) center work (tendus/pirouettes from 5th, adagio, and small jumps), and short clip of phrasework or performance footage, either on stage, in the studio, or at home. You may include your audition video as a non-password protected Youtube or Vimeo link below, or attach it as a .mov or .mp4 file.
- Dance Resume: Your resume should detail your current and past dance training, years of study, class level, and past Intensives attended. Acceptable file formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx
- Headshot and Dance Shot: Acceptable file formats: .jpg, .png, .pdf, .doc, .docx
