  • Please submit syllabus using CTE template

Please ensure the syllabus includes all information below:

    • Learning Outcomes
    • List of all required texts, readings, or other materials
    • List and description of major assignments
    • Description of the grading policy and how the final grade will be determined, including pass/fail grading if that option is selected
    • Schedule of topics, activities, assignments, and readings appropriate for the number of credit hours for this course, with some indication of how the topics, activities, assignments, and readings will be distributed across the course.
    • For 500 and 600-level courses ONLY - The course must include at least one graduate-only assignment whose non-completion would result in a minimum penalty of one full letter grade on the final course grade. Please include an explanation of how the graduate level additional assignment(s) reflect graduate-level skills—such as advanced analysis, deeper critical thinking, or rigorous research methods—beyond extending the quantity of undergraduate-level work.

Please note: it is the CIC norm to submit all courses for both online and face-to-face delivery. This allows us to teach the course online without having to go through the approval process again at a later date.
