Support Group Community Agreements

Our goal is to create safe, intersectional, intergenerational spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. Everyone deserves respect and dignity, which is why we ask participants to agree to the following community agreements:

Discrimination is not welcome here. Racist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, anti-Indigenous, anti-Black, xenophobic, and other hostile comments or behavior will not be tolerated.
We value consent. Unwanted physical contact or sexual comments/behavior of any kind is not acceptable in this space. This is grounds for immediate removal from the space.
No shaming and/or belittling of others. Be kind and respectful.
Trust intent and name impact. Please have positive intent, and be accountable for the impact of your actions and words.
Acknowledge judgments and assumptions (including our own)
Platinum rule (treat others the way they want to be treated)
Self-care and accessibility: give care to ourselves, however that looks for you. We encourage taking breaks if needed and advocating for any personal needs as they arise.
The privacy of other group members should be respected during and outside of the group.
Facilitators are required by law to report any threats or incidents of imminent danger to self or others, abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child or vulnerable adult.
