  • 2026 BONDAGE SOUP ALUMNI APPLICATION

  • Bondage Soup Alumni Reapplication Guidelines: Bondage Soup is designed as a one-time, year-long learning container per role. Graduates may complete the program once as a bottom and once as a top. To support access, fairness, and cohort balance, alumni reapplications are limited and reviewed separately from first-time applicants.

    Reapplying as a Top
Graduates who have completed Bondage Soup as a bottom may apply to return as a top, provided the following criteria are met:

    • You have completed the program and received your graduation patch
    • At least one full year has passed since your graduation
    • You have made a meaningful effort to pay it forward to the Bondage Soup community prior to reapplying
    • You are applying in a role you have not yet completed

A maximum of four (4) alumni tying pair applications will be considered per year to preserve cohort balance and ensure access for new learners.

Why There Is a One-Year Waiting Period
The one-year interval allows time to:

    • Integrate the curriculum into your practice
    • Continue learning outside of the cohort
    • Contribute back to the Bondage Soup community
    • Shift from receiving instruction to supporting others

This pause helps ensure that reapplying is intentional, supportive of the cohort, and beneficial to both returning alumni and new participants.

    Paying It Forward
Graduates reapplying in a new role are expected to demonstrate good-faith contribution to Bondage Soup before being considered.

Contribution may include, but is not limited to:

    • Supporting current cohorts
    • Assisting with classes, logistics, or events
    • Serving as a Graduate Assistant
    • Mentoring newer participants
    • Offering time, labor, or other community support

There is no required bolume or checklist. We look for care, engagement, and accountability rather than quantity.

    Partner Eligibility

    • If your tying partner is not a graduate, they must submit the standard Bondage Soup application
    • Alumni status does not bypass the selection process
    • All applications are reviewed through the same readiness framework

    Reapplying as a Bottom
Graduates who wish to reapply as a bottom with a non-graduate top may submit the Bondage Soup Alumni Application. These applications are not subject to the one-year waiting period, as the role and learning context differ.

    After Completing Both Roles
Once you have graduated once as a top and once as a bottom, you are no longer eligible to apply to future cohorts. Bondage Soup is not intended as a repeating program. Growth beyond this point is encouraged through teaching, mentorship, community leadership, and continued education.

  • As an Alumni of Bondage Soup

  • As a graduate of Bondage Soup, you have experienced the value of a structured, progressive learning program within a supportive cohort. Your completion of the program demonstrates not only your skill but also your understanding of the Bondage Soup Recipe Book and the principles it embodies. Below are a few key points we’d like to highlight for you as you look to applying once again:

    • Commitment to Continued Growth: Graduating from Bondage Soup is just the beginning. We encourage you to continue developing your rope skills, exploring new techniques, and engaging with the evolving rope community, both within and outside BoSo.
    • Community Engagement: As a graduate, your role in the BoSo community extends beyond personal development. You are now part of a larger network and are encouraged to share your knowledge, assist future cohorts, and contribute to the growth of others.
    • Accountability and Representation: By graduating, you represent the values and standards of the Bondage Soup community. We expect you to model respect, consent, and collaboration both inside and outside the classroom.
    • Paying It Forward: Whether through becoming a Graduate Assistant, providing feedback, or participating in events, your involvement helps sustain and improve the program for future participants. Your experience and insights are invaluable, and we encourage you to actively engage with and mentor the next generation of BoSo students.
    • Continued Learning: Rope is an evolving practice, and we urge you to keep learning through participation in Soup Kitchen sessions, attending workshops, and seeking out new knowledge from a variety of sources.

Your journey with Bondage Soup doesn't end at graduation; it evolves as you continue to grow and contribute to the community.
