  • 2025 BONDAGE SOUP ALUMNI APPLICATION

  • Bondage Soup Alumni Reapplication Guidelines for Tops:

We value the dedication of our program alumni who have successfully completed BoSo as bottoms and welcome them to return to the program as tops. To maintain fairness, alumni are subject to additional application requirements, allowing us to ensure equitable opportunities. A maximum of four (4) alumni tying pair applications will be accepted each year.

To reapply to the Bondage Soup program as a top, alumni must meet the following criteria:

    • You must have completed the program and received your graduation patch.
    • A minimum of one year must have passed since your graduation (e.g., if you graduated in 2019, you can reapply in 2021). Reason for the One-Year Wait for Tops: The waiting period allows you to integrate what you have learned, share space with the community, grow as a practitioner, and demonstrate your appreciation for Bondage Soup. This ensures that reapplying is meaningful, beneficial, and enhances the experience for you, the new cohort, and future participants.
    • If your tying partner is a non-graduate, they must submit the standard Bondage Soup application.
    • Alumni Reapplying as Bottoms: Graduates who wish to reapply as a "bottom" with a non-graduate "top" should submit the Bondage Soup Alumni Application. These applications are exempt from the one-year waiting period.
  • As an Alumni of Bondage Soup

  • As a graduate of Bondage Soup, you have experienced the value of a structured, progressive learning program within a supportive cohort. Your completion of the program demonstrates not only your skill but also your understanding of the Bondage Soup Recipe Book and the principles it embodies. Below are a few key points we’d like to highlight for you as you look to applying once again:

    • Commitment to Continued Growth: Graduating from Bondage Soup is just the beginning. We encourage you to continue developing your rope skills, exploring new techniques, and engaging with the evolving rope community, both within and outside BoSo.
    • Community Engagement: As a graduate, your role in the BoSo community extends beyond personal development. You are now part of a larger network and are encouraged to share your knowledge, assist future cohorts, and contribute to the growth of others.
    • Accountability and Representation: By graduating, you represent the values and standards of the Bondage Soup community. We expect you to model respect, consent, and collaboration both inside and outside the classroom.
    • Paying It Forward: Whether through becoming a Graduate Assistant, providing feedback, or participating in events, your involvement helps sustain and improve the program for future participants. Your experience and insights are invaluable, and we encourage you to actively engage with and mentor the next generation of BoSo students.
    • Continued Learning: Rope is an evolving practice, and we urge you to keep learning through participation in Soup Kitchen sessions, attending workshops, and seeking out new knowledge from a variety of sources.

Your journey with Bondage Soup doesn't end at graduation; it evolves as you continue to grow and contribute to the community.
