To help us thoughtfully pair each family with the puppy that best fits their goals, lifestyle, and expectations, we ask that you complete the application below and submit it once finished. This information allows us to make informed placement decisions based on puppy temperament and household fit.

Please note that we reserve the right to decline a sale if, after discussion, we feel that none of our current or upcoming puppies would be an appropriate match.

Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Once both the application and contract are submitted, a $600.00 deposit is required to hold your position on the waitlist. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another list. If at any point we determine that a suitable placement is not available, your deposit will be refunded in full.

We strongly prefer to initially connect with families by phone, as this allows us to answer questions efficiently and determine whether moving forward is a good fit for everyone. We want to assure you that this application is not intended to be invasive or pushy. We will never request personal financial information, details about the size of your home or yard, or other intrusive information. We believe it is each family’s responsibility to determine whether they are prepared—financially, physically, and emotionally—for the long-term needs of this breed before committing to ownership.

As responsible breeders, our role is to place puppies thoughtfully and appropriately, ensuring each one is matched with a home where they can thrive long term. For that reason, we reserve the right to decline a placement if we feel that none of our puppies are an appropriate match for a particular home at that time.

The questions in this application are designed solely to help us understand your lifestyle, goals, and expectations, so we can make informed placement decisions—not to judge or evaluate you as a person or owner.

Each puppy is an individual. Just as no two children are the same, no two puppies are identical, and every home is different as well. During the puppies’ first 8–9 weeks of life, we closely observe their development, temperament, drive, and physical traits. These observations, combined with your answers, allow us to make thoughtful, well-matched placements.

Honesty and openness are essential. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers—only truthful ones. This process works best when everyone is transparent, as we are entrusting you with a life we have carefully and intentionally brought into the world.

To officially reserve a position on our waitlist, a $600 non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit will be applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.

This is where we find out a little more about the puppy's new home and family. Please remember in most cases there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. This is just a way to get to know you! 

Breeding Restrictions: Not all dogs should be bred, as breeders, we understand this. There are risks involved when breeding dogs, including the health and death of the female and her litter. Therefore, Nosam Kennels has chosen to limit the registration of their puppies to educate Puppy Buyers as well as protect and maintain the integrity of the breeds. The decision will be made together whether the dog in question should be bred. Ultimately, we hold our Puppy Buyers to the same standards we hold ourselves when determining if a dog should be bred and that it would be an improvement to the breed.

Therefore, all puppies will be sold on limited NAVHDA or AKC registration and breeding rights will only be released when a signed contract is met. All dogs will be required to be spayed & neutered if they have not met the requirements for full AKC.

Pet puppies on Limited AKC can still fully participate in sports like dock diving, agility, Hunt tests and other performance events—so Limited registration doesn’t hold you back there. However, conformation showing isn’t allowed on Limited AKC which is what we sell all puppies with. 

If you wish to show your puppy in AKC conformation, you’ll need FULL AKC registration, which requires a different contract. Our standard contract is for Limited AKC and doesn't allow for conformation or breeding. This contract includes a commitment to earn an AKC Championship title with the dog and Co-ownership with Nosam Kennels.

Please tell us a little about where puppy will live as a puppy (we know circumstances change).

CONTRACT
We require a signed contract prior to placing any puppy. We believe it is both responsible and professional to clearly outline our mutual obligations in writing so expectations are understood and there are no questions later. For that reason, our contract is detailed.

All buyers must submit an electronic version of the contract when joining our waitlist and will sign a paper copy at puppy pickup. The contract outlines expectations, health guarantees, return policies, and other important terms related to ownership.

We offer a health guarantee against genetic conditions that interfere with the puppy’s vital functions. While our breeding dogs are health tested, genetics can still be influenced by prior generations. In the event of a concern, we reserve the right to obtain a second veterinary opinion. If the condition is determined to be genetic, the buyer will be offered a refund upon return of the original puppy.
