Thank you for your interest in purchasing one of our puppies. To aid in pairing each family with the pup who best fits what they are looking for in a dog, we ask that you complete this application and submit it once you are done. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse the sale of any puppy if we feel you are not a good match for a Nosam Puppy.

Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. When the application and contract are received, you will be required to place a $600.00 deposit to hold your position on our list. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a different list later on. If we don't feel it will be a good fit, your deposit will be refunded in full.

Please Note: Applications are not for inquiries they are for those who are ready to join a waitlist and who wish to move forward to join our waiting list.

We want to assure you that this application is not meant to be invasive or pushy. We will never ask for personal financial information, the size of your home or yard, or other intrusive details. We believe it is your responsibility to determine whether you are prepared—financially, physically, and emotionally—for the needs of this breed before committing to ownership.

That said, as responsible breeders, it is our duty to ensure our puppies are placed in loving, permanent homes where they will thrive. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy to anyone, at any time, and for any reason, if we feel it is not in the best interest of the puppy.

Our questions are designed solely to help us assess whether your home and lifestyle align with the needs of one of our puppies.

Each puppy is an individual—just as no two children are the same, no two puppies are identical. Likewise, every home is different. During the puppies' first 8–9 weeks of life, we closely observe their development, personalities, and physical traits. These observations help us make thoughtful, informed matches based on the answers provided in your questionnaire.

Your honesty and openness are crucial. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers—only honest ones. Remember, we are trusting you with a life that we have lovingly brought into the world.

We understand how exciting this process can be! To officially reserve a spot on our list, a $600 non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit will be applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.

Breeding Restrictions: Not all dogs should be bred, as breeders, we understand this. There are risks involved when breeding dogs, including the health and death of the female and her litter. Therefore, Nosam Kennels has chosen to limit the registration of their puppies to educate Puppy Buyers as well as protect and maintain the integrity of the breeds. The decision will be made together whether the dog in question should be bred. Ultimately, we hold our Puppy Buyers to the same standards we hold ourselves when determining if a dog should be bred and that it would be an improvement to the breed.

Therefore, all puppies will be sold on limited NAVHDA or AKC registration and breeding rights will only be released when a signed contract is met. All dogs will be required to be spayed & neutered if they have not met the requirements for full AKC.

Pet puppies on Limited AKC can still fully participate in sports like dock diving, agility, Hunt tests and other performance events—so Limited registration doesn’t hold you back there. However, conformation showing isn’t allowed on Limited AKC which is what we sell all puppies with.

If you wish to show your puppy in AKC conformation, you’ll need FULL AKC registration, which requires a different contract. Our standard contract is for Limited AKC and doesn't allow for conformation or breeding. This contract includes a commitment to earn an AKC Championship title with the dog and Co-ownership with Nosam Kennels.

Having a yard can be a great asset, but dogs—especially active breeds—still need regular exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction beyond backyard time. Dogs need regular opportunities to leave the home for exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation. Do you have an exercise and socialization plan that extends beyond a fenced in yard?

CONTRACT: We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason, it's a bit lengthy. All buyers will be required to submit an electronic form upon joining our list and sign a paper copy at pick up. This will cover expectations, health guarantees, and more.

We offer a health guarantee against genetic issues that interfere with the vital functions of the puppy. Even with health testing, things can still pop up from the generations before. If this happens, we are entitled to a second opinion. If the issue is ruled as genetic, you will be offered a refund upon return of the original puppy. More details are in our actual contract.
