  • TOURNAMENT EVENTS AND FORMAT

    1. BOYS SINGLES EVENT - all age divisions
        GIRLS SINGLES EVENT - all age divisions

    2. BOYS DOUBLES EVENT - all age divisions
        GIRLS DOUBLES EVENT - all age divisions
        MIXED DOUBLES will bowl as boys doubles (all age divisions)

    3. FOUR PERSON TEAM EVENT - 2 divisions: Points (P) and Open (0)

    (P) The team can be any line up with a maximum of 15 points made up as follows:

    PEEWEE 1 point
    BANTAM 1 point
    JUNIOR 2 points
    INTERMEDIATE 3 points
    SENIOR 4 points
    GRADUATE 5 points
    UNDER 22 5 points

    (O)  The Open teams can be all age groups (no points restriction).

    Prizes will be based on the number of entries in each division.

    4. ALL EVENTS
    All bowlers entering the three events will automatically be entered in the All Events.

    5. SCORING
    Handicap = 75% of the difference between average and 200. (See Rules 9 & 10)

    6. BOWLING ORDER
    Bowlers will bowl in the order declared on the Entry Form in both singles, doubles & scratch, and handicap sections.

    7. ENTRY FEE

    9. PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

    Presentation approx. 18.00 on 21st January 2024

    Please be aware before, during, and after the event there could be filming, action photography or video taken of participants and medal winners by anyone attending the event, either as an official, spectator, parent or guardian. If you (as a participant, parent or guardian) object to this, you must make your objections known to the tournament manager prior to the event starting and reasonable adjustments will be made

    10. SENSITIVE HEARING AND OTHER SPECIAL NEEDS
    Please may we respectfully remind you that it is your responsibility to make sure that your children are as comfortable as possible. We want all participants to have the best experience possible and if there is anything you would like us to be aware of, please do let us know. Everything will be treated in confidence and reasonable adjustments will be made.

     

    Squads will be allocated on a first come first served basis (to fully complete and fully paid entries only).

    Preference will be given to teams traveling more than 75 miles.

    UNDER 22 Under 22 years at 31/12/2024 Born in 2003, 2004, or 2005
  • TOURNAMENT RULES AND CONDITIONS

    1. The tournament will be a BTBA YOUTH BOWLING TOUR event. Tournament and general playing rules of the BTBA will govern this tournament, together with the following Special Rules and Conditions.
    2. Closing date for entries is the 10th DECEMBER 2023 and any incomplete entries will not be squadded until all information is supplied AND PAID IN FULL Entry fees will not be refunded once players have been squadded.
    3. Registration will be 30 minutes prior to bowling. If all bowlers are present and registered, then bowling may commence earlier than the published squad times. Tardy players will commence play at the frame in progress as directed by the Tournament Manager.

    5. No competitor will be allowed to smoke or consume alcoholic beverages anywhere in the centre during the tournament. Any breach of this rule will result in immediate disqualification of the individual from the tournament. Profane language or abuse of bowling equipment or machinery may also result in disqualification. Any disqualification may result in the loss of scores and awards.
    6. Any individual so disqualified will be reported to the BTBA for consideration of disciplinary proceedings.
    7. Protests of any nature must be lodged by the YBC registered official/player with the Tournament Manage within 30 minutes of the infraction occurring and confirmed in writing before the presentation commences. A provisional ball must be rolled if a dispute relating to pinfall cannot be resolved immediately. Only tournament officials and one licensed instructor/coach for any YBC, are allowed in the seating area, for any event, dressed in correct attire as above.
    8. This tournament is open to bowlers under 22 as at 31st December 2024. Double teams from different YBCs and including U22 players will also be accepted as well as mixed YBC teams. Entries will also be accepted from the National Team squads at U19 EYC and U22 WYC levels. These teams must also fill in a separate entry form with payment to secure a place in the team event.
    9. All bowlers need to have completed all of their tournament entry before they will be permitted to become pacers.
    10. Handicaps will be based on 75% of the difference between the average and 200. The highest average attained over 15 games must be used, whether junior, adult or merit, and a league standing sheet to verify the average must be included with all entries. An unverified average will result in the players rolling off scratch. The Tournament Manager/Committee reserves the right to accept. re-rate or reject any entry and their decision on all matters including protests and or any other questions shall be final, subject to the right of appeal to the BTBA.
    11. Both Free Fall and String averages will be accepted without differentiation.
    12. No bowler will be able to receive awards for both scratch and handicap in the same event, i.e. Scratch 3rd will take precedence over Handicap 1st_
    13. Perpetual trophies will be awarded to the winning teams in the Scratch and Handicap sections and a trophy for the YBC of the Tournament - defined as the best behaved & presented YBC.
    14. In the event of a tie all winners will receive a trophy, with the exception of the perpetual trophies, where the trophy will be shared for the relative period by each YBC/individual.
    15. Memberships will be checked on the BTBA database. Only tournament officials and one licensed coach will be allowed in the players area, see rule 333.
    16. Only food and drink purchased on the premises are to be consumed within the premises.
