Level of Fault Definitions:
- LEVEL 1 FAULT:
- Direct risks to human safety or environmental threats such as electrical fires, equipment overheating, toxic fumes, exposed live wires, etc.
- Total system shutdowns where the alternative power supply is unavailable and corrective ‘self-help’ steps have failed.
- Conditions likely to cause irreversible equipment damage if unattended and where system bypass isn’t an option.
- LEVEL 2 FAULT:
- System shutdowns that allow for bypass to restore power but with persistent underlying issues.
- Conditions likely to cause equipment damage if unattended, but temporary bypassing is possible.
- LEVEL 3 FAULT:
- Compromised system efficiency resulting in increased grid usage or frequent generator activations.
- LEVEL 4 FAULT:
- Issues including software/firmware updates, minor monitoring or control faults, and other non-immediate concerns potentially affecting long-term system operation.
