How it works:
Is there any cost to exhibit?
No there is no cost to exhibit your work at The Media Centre as part of our exhibition programme
Who can exhibit?
Artists living in the Kirklees area are welcome to apply to exhibit their works. We also welcome artists groups to exhibit in collaboration.
Artists from West Yorkshire outside of the Kirklees may also apply for consideration.
How long can I exhibit my work?
The exhibition period is six weeks. The period will begin on a Monday and end on a Friday.
When can the exhbition be viewed?
The exhibition space is open for viewing Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (excluding bank holidays and the period between Christmas eve and New Years Day, when The Media Centre is closed)
Can I sell my works?
Yes, you can include information in your exhibit to advertise your works as for sale.
Any sales would be made directly between the artist and the buyer (The Media Centre is not able to be a part of any sales process) and we recomend including QR codes or active links in your exhibition to allow interested viewers to learn more and potentially buy.
Who installs the exhibition?
The exhibition is installed by the artist. The Media Centre will provide a hanging rail with hooks that can be hooked on the back of picture frames/canvas.

Installation and takedown
The exhibition may be installed any week day from the start of the period you are allocated.
The exhibition would need to be removed no later than the final date allocated for your exhibition.
Access to complete installation and takedown is available on weekdays only, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Promoting your exhibition
The Media Centre will promote your exhibition in the What's On section of our website and through our social media channels.
To allow us to do this we ask that you share a brief explanation of your exhibition, a couple of pictures you would like to share and a link to where people can find out a little more about your work.
We also request that you promote the exhibition through your social media channels, tagging @themediacentre into your posts.
If you are able to include the exhibition details on your website, this would be appreciated.
