Mission: The CEO Advisory Board allows Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors the opportunity to serve as an advisory team to the Chief Executive Officer and her senior leadership team. By lending a voice to our movement that wants, needs, and values girl-led contributions, these young leaders will play a significant role in shaping the ongoing work of Girl Scouts of Connecticut.
Purpose: As the Girl Scout-voice of our council, the CEO Advisory Board works as a cooperative team and is a safe place where members can provide thoughts, ideas, guidance, and recommendations about what Girl Scouts need and want at Girl Scouts of Connecticut. Each member brings their unique perspective from their experiences, background, and geographic area to create a unified voice and vision for girls across our council.
The CEO Advisory Board will discuss everything about Girl Scouting, including:
- Program and Event Development
- Travel and Global Opportunities
- Girl Engagement
- Marketing and Research
- Product Sales Programs
- And so much more!
Eligibility: If you are a registered youth member of Girl Scouts of Connecticut, and a current Girl Scout Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador, you are eligible to apply. While those with previous terms on the CEO Advisory Board will be considered, preference will be given to those with 1 term or less experience. Our selection process will prioritize representation from different geographical locations within our council.
Commitment: Girls selected for the CEO Advisory Board will be asked to make a one-year commitment. The one-year term runs October 1- September 30. Meetings will be held virtually every other month with topics to be released prior to the meetings. Participants are expected to miss no more than 1 meeting.
