REQUIREMENTS OF CO-SIGNER

If the resident is not able to make prompt rent payments, the co-signer is responsible for paying rent by the first of the month every month until the end of the lease term. Late fees apply.
Co-signers are also responsible for paying rent on the apartment until the end of the lease term if the resident does not honor their lease commitment.
Breaking leases are not allowed under any circumstances. If a Crime Free Lease violation occurs during the lease term, the resident will be required to vacate the apartment in three days and the co-signer will be responsible for paying rent even after the resident has vacated the apartment, until the apartment has been re-rented or the lease has ended.
Owners/Managers affirm that they will not refuse rental housing to any prospective resident based on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin.
The co-signer applicant hereby gives permission for Owner/Manager or the South Dakota Multi-housing Association permission to obtain a credit report and other information for use in processing this application.
MeadowBrook Apartments reserves the right to decline any applicant before or after the application submission. Such matters affecting the decision could include but not be limited to employment, negative rental history, credit history, and/or criminal history. Any information discovered any time prior to the signing of the rental agreement could result in the Landlord deciding to no longer offer an apartment.
