BELMAS Doctoral Bursary Application Form

Applications CLOSE on Monday 30th March 2026. Please refer to the Doctoral Bursary Application Criteria found on the BELMAS website before completing your application.
Please ensure that you have the following BEFORE you start this application form:
- A research proposal of no more than 2,000 words outlining the focus, aims, research questions, a summary of key literature, research design and expected contribution to knowledge. (Upload)
- Letter confirming your enrolment in UK or international University. If necessary, an English translation of this letter will need to be attached. (Upload)
- Confirmation of Ethics approval. (Upload)
- A summary of your research in progress, supported by details concerning the project’s focus, research questions, methodology, and supporting research literature. (Upload)
- A short account of the anticipated educational and social benefits of the project. (Type)
Failure to provide any of these will result in your application being disregarded.

PLEASE NOTE: Two references from your referees will be requested by the BELMAS office if your application moves forward after the review process, including one from your first or principal supervisor.
