A showcase of the artistic talent of University of Cincinnati faculty, this juried exhibition seeks works by faculty and emeriti from all UC colleges and disciplines.
CALENDAR
o October 6-9: The call for artist submissions will go out.
o November 16: Cut-off date for artist submissions.
o November 20: Judging process will begin.
o December 8: Final decisions will be completed.
o December 11 - 15: Artists will be notified regarding acceptance.
o January 8, 2024: Semester begins.
o January 16 – 18, 2024: Artist will deliver selected artwork to Reed Gallery.
o January 29 – March 7: Artwork displayed in Reed Gallery
o April 8 – 10: Art in Reed Gallery de-installed and picked up by artists.
GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS
Applications will be accepted from current and emeriti faculty from all UC colleges and disciplines.
Drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, photography, glass, jewelry, furniture, fashion design, and sculpture are eligible for submission. Video, performance, and other time-based pieces are not eligible for this call.
Artworks must be framed/mounted/wired and ready to hang. You may be contacted by the review committee for additional information about presentation of your work.
Artists may enter up to three completed works (one image included from each 2-dimensional work in the application and up to two images from 3-dimensional work). All works entered must have been created within the last five years.
After you submit your artwork, you will be notified of your acceptance into the exhibition by the selection committee. Upon acceptance, you will be required to fill out a loan form, which will be used to confirm your participation, insure your work during the run of the exhibition, and serve as an agreement with the conditions outlined in this prospectus.
The exhibition will be open to the public Monday – Thursday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and be on display January 29 through March 7. Artists are responsible for timely artwork drop-off and pick-up.
The University of Cincinnati reserves the right to photograph and video any submitted work for documentation, educational, and publicity purposes. Artists will retain all copyrights to their work.
