  • Spare Parts Donation Appointment

Please read all the following information before scheduling your appointment.
  • **Wow! Our September donation appointments were released on August 20th and are now fully booked as of August 26th. We are extremely grateful to the community for your generosity and we also appreciate your patience and understanding when it comes to donation appointments, times, and size limits. While we would love to accept more, our working space simply cannot accommodate it, as it would create a hazardous working space for our staff and volunteers. Please check back again on September 20th for the release of the October schedule.**

Why can't I just walk-in with a donation? We are a small operation with limited space to receive and process donations. We process about 700 lbs per weekend in a space the size of an average livingroom. Our VIP one-bag walk-ins and scheduling of donation appointments is what currently works best for us. It also helps keep our space safe and free of hazards for volunteers to work in. We thank you for your patience and generosity. If you are in immediate need to donate items we reccomend donating to an alternate thrift store of your choosing so that these materials can stay out of the waste stream.

Why donate? Material donations of arts and craft supplies support our operations at the Center for Creative Reuse. These materials are diverted from the landfill and made available to the public through our educational programs and store front. We are a specialty resource that fulfills the supply needs of educators, families, students, artists, crafters, and small business owners.

What do you accept? Please review the types of items we can, cannot, and have temporarily paused on accepting before scheduling your appointment. Spare Parts reserves the right to reject any donation. See list below.

How to schedule an appointment? To schedule a donation appointment please fill out the form below, select your preferred date/time, then click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen. If no appointments are available please check back at a later date for the next appointment release (usually the 20th of the month).

→ When dropping off your donation, please check in by providing your last name to our front cashier or our donation receiving team member. This way we can determine if there are any missed appointments. Our receiving team might ask you to wait at the Center for Creative Reuse briefly while we process your donation. If there are any items that we cannot accept, we will return these items to you which can then be donated elsewhere or recycled (if applicable). ←

What are your size requirements? Your donation must be able to fit on our gray cart as seen below (approximately four bankers boxes). If your donation exceeds this amount, you will need to schedule a second or third appointment. Please be mindful that other people are trying to donate as well.

  • How should I organize my donation? To streamline donation processing please pre-sort your donations. Meaning, no "kitchen drawer" boxes, no crayons mixed together with beads, buttons and misc tiny items in the same bag or box. Our processing volunteers thank you.
