  • Adopting or Removing Course Materials

To ensure a smooth process for adopting or removing course materials, please provide all information requested accurately. You can check textbook details on the publishers' websites, the VitalSource Sampling platform, or view the current textbook database by visiting the Course Booklist. Additionally, you can explore Open Educational Resources (OERs) through our Park Library Guide.

    Requesting Changes

To request a change for an upcoming term, it must be submitted at least 16 weeks before the term’s start date.

    Updates to the Course Booklist

Updates made for future terms will not be reflected on the Course Booklist until after the term start date of the term prior to when changes are effective. (For example, if we’re heading into Fall 1, and you submit changes that will be effective Spring 2, the Canvas Booklist won’t reflect the changes until after Spring 1 term start date.)

    Undergraduate Course Materials

To enhance student experience and affordability, the university has adopted the First Day Access (FDA) program for undergraduate course material delivery. FDA provides materials in the format faculty have adopted for the course.

First Day Access is an innovative course material delivery model designed to:

    • Simplify the student experience.
    • Lower the cost of course materials.
    • Ensure students have access to all required materials on or before the first day of class.

    Through this program:

    • Students access digital textbooks and courseware from Day One by logging into the Canvas LMS.
    • Print materials are shipped as rentals and must be returned by students.
    • The cost of the materials is included in tuition and fees.

For more detailed information, please visit the FAQ page in MyPark > Student > Course Materials.

    Graduate Course Materials

For all graduate courses, please provide the following adoption details:

    • Title
    • Author
    • Publisher
    • ISBN / MBS number
    • Adoption
